Actors George Clooney and co-star John Krasinski were at the Leatherheads premiere last night where Clooney revealed to Extra what made directing and staring in the film so challenging.

He said, “Doing as few takes as you can possibly do because you look like a jerk if you do more takes for yourself than you do for anybody else.”

As for watching himself on screen, Clooney jokes, “I do it sometimes at night by myself. I just sit and play tapes of myself.”

Clooney is excited for viewers to see this comedy. He explains, “Everybody’s looking for something fun right now and it seemed like this was the fun one to do.”

Krasinski, jokingly noted that his fight scene with Clooney wasn’t what he expected saying, “I was really disappointed that they didn’t actually let me hit him. I was like, ‘Wait a minute. I signed up for this project for a good old fashion ass-whooping.’

He didn’t let me do it. It was a lot of, ‘Don’t hit People’s Sexiest Man Alive.’ I was like, ‘I was in it too. I was in the index but I was in it!’”

When asked if Clooney had plans for April Fool’s Day, the ultimate prankster responded, “Its like going out for St Patrick’s Day and drinking. It’s amateur.”
