Madonna has unleashed a photo layout showing off her sinewy body in the latest Vanity Fair.
The provocative and heavily air-brushed photos accompany a wide-ranging profane interview where among other things, Madonna slags New York City as "immaterial."
Madge says NYC isn't "happening" as it was when she combed the city's thrift stores for her iconic fashion "look" more than 20 years ago.
"[New York City is] not the same place it used to be," Madonna tells VF.
"It still has great energy. I still put my finger in the socket. But it doesn't feel alive, cracking with that synergy between the art world and music world and fashion world that was happening in the '80s."

It's a different time! The 80's were awesome and full of energy and creativity. It's not just New York lacking this.
Bad Madge!
