This time,German is the major sopprt behind Tibet terrorists. The reason was that German losed the contarct to build the high speed railway between Beijing and Shanghai last year. German also accused of China stealing high speed railway technology from German. The German are using Dalai Lama to retaliate China for their business loss. Right before March 8 German had 3000 towns held supporting activities for Dalai Lama. China will boycott German made cars in China. If US media are soft on China this time, China may cancel all future airplane contracts from airbus and replace them with Boeing.
If China is so horrible, then why the double standard on the part of Ms. Pelosi to back free trade between China and the USA?
...Dems backing free trade usually have to go to another country to do it, at least until after November.
The dems have, once again, never been honest with their constituency about free trade. They ramrodded it through in the 1990's, over what seemed to be silence from the Unions, all with the approval of the republicans, who, surprisingly were totally out front with free trade.
So now, they rail against it (Obama, Clinton) after they spent 15 years letting it out of the barn.
Why do the dems let China off the hook? Why did they let Bin Laden get away? Why did they make a useless anti-nuke treaty with N. Korea? Why DID China get MFN status in the 1990's with all of it's human rights abuses?

It's clear Ms Pelosi jumped her gun and shot her own foot. It indeed looks pretty bad on her. She should be tought a leason because her action essentially condones violence in Lhasa and fan further violence across the globe. It was reported those riots not only attach innocent people and set fires on shops, even burned a 8-month baby live to death along with 4 other adults in a garage.
When she took the Speakership, she promised to pass legislations to bring US troop back. Now over 4 years and after nearly 4000 US troop death (not to mention hundreds and thousands violence death of Iraq civilans), Bush & Chency are againing calling Iraq a success. She said nothing in response, but she was willing to waste tax-payer's money and time to bad monthing China. Shame on Pelosi

The ruthless Chinese bullies have to get out Tibet. The Chinese complain because they are used to getting their way using tanks and guns.
Just wanted to humbly draw attention to the fact that 'Harry' 'Erwin' 'David' are obviously non-native speakers (most likely Chinese) posing as caucasians because they assume that makes them more credible.
I think they could more effectively argue their case as Chinese. Faking names/origins immediately call into questions the legitimacy of their positions.

This is an eyewitness account of a foreign resident in Lhasa who took refuge in a hotel close to the centre of the Tibetan capital yesterday. The city was gripped by violence after protesters and police clashed
'Oh my God. Oh no. That's crazy. One hundred people are trying to stone one man. A man was trying to cross the street with his motorcycle - they were trying to stone him but it's so crowded I can't see whether they got him or not.
'We came out for a walk about at about five today. I knew something was happening because there were a lot of people on the street. We were on Sera Street, which goes to the [Klukang] monastery. It sounds like the noise came from there; it sounds like at first they had been fighting in the temple.
'We saw people running and people in this hotel told us to get in quickly as the crowd was coming. They seem OK here, maybe the owner is Tibetan. All the other hotels have smashed windows.
'The residents are very angry. They are throwing stones at anyone who is Han [Chinese] or from other minorities like the Hui, who are Muslims. It seems like it's ethnic - like they want to kill anyone not Tibetan.
'I would say it's a riot here but I think in the centre it's worse. There's a lot of smoke - we can see it where there have been burnings. I heard people saying the authorities were firing, using guns. We don't know.
Here we have seen people trying to stone anyone they can - Han and other minorities, not foreigners. The Tibetans had stones and knives. I saw Chinese people running away - there was nothing they could do.
'We don't see any police around here. Maybe they're all in the centre and are too busy. It's very violent.
'Oh my God. Someone has a gun in front of me. There's a group of about 20 people - two of them have handguns. They are walking the street.They're shooting. They didn't have uniforms, but the way they were in a group I thought maybe they were police. They went down the street and the first one fired, that's for sure - I think the others did; there was so much noise I can't be sure. Then some of the citizens threw stones, but not at them - in the other direction. So I don't know if they were police or maybe Tibetans.
'I have just been out to get my things. We are staying at the hotel tonight. There are still people on the streets but only Tibetans - if they see anyone

'Three times people raised their arms and then when they saw I was white they stopped it. The thing that surprised me most was that I saw no police or soldiers.
'I saw three people assaulting a man - I was 50 metres away, but I think he was Chinese. They kicked him and then one man had a knife and used it. He was lying on the floor and the man put the knife in his back, like he wanted to see he was dead.
'I had to get away, there were people throwing stones.
'When I came back he was gone - I don't know if he's dead. Then I saw people who had obviously been beaten or stoned. There wasn't blood on them but they were so shocked.
'This area used to be a place where Tibetans and the Chinese were friendly.
'I think this is going to get worse. One person told me 300 people have died in the city centre [the Guardian has no information to substantiate this claim]. I just don't know.'
If Tibet is an 'integral' part of China, then China is also an integral part of Japan. Afterall we ruled China with an iron-hand for over two decades, until the mighty Amerikaners defeated Nippon in WWII. In 1957 the CIA culled six young men from among Tibetans residing abroad and sent them to Guam of the United States to receive training in map-reading, radio transmission, shooting and parachuting. Subsequently, the United States trained 170 'Kamba guerrillas' in batches in Hale Camp, Colorado. The trained 'Kamba guerrillas' were airdropped or sneaked into Tibet to execute CIA's plan activities. In May 1958, two agents trained by the Americans in the first batch brought a transceiver to the headquarter, which was set up by the rebel leader Anzhugcang Goinbo Zhaxi in Shannan, to make contact with the CIA. United States air-dropped arms and ammunition, including 20 sub-machine guns, two mortars, 100 rifles, 600 hand-grenades, 600 artillery shells and close to 40,000 bullets, to the rebels in the plateau called Chigu Lama Thang. During the same period, United States clandestinely shipped large amounts of arms and ammunition overland to the rebels entrenched in the Shannan area.

Form there on, America has been continuously backing the independent movement of Tibet all along. A movie 'Seven Years in Tibet' produced by U.S. fooled the American with distorted historical facts. Funding was poured into foundations in U.S. to continue the anti-Chinese activities.

History between China and Tibet. The Tibet and Chinese relationship initiated during the Tibetan 29th King(Songtsen Gampo). Before that it doesn't mentioend China even a sigle in entire history. Tibetan first King (Nya-Tri Tsen-po) was sellected by its own peoples and there was no Chinese official in between at all. Since the King (Songtsen Gampo) was so powerful, he was able to conquerred part of Mongolia and even controlled some part of Nepal. Later he married with Chinese princess (Kong Jo) and treated each other as a seperate nation and each has it's own government and ministers Then the friendship started between two nations. Since then chinese and tibetan considered each other as a good friend and the relation continue. During the period, many Tibetan and chinese scholar travelled between two nations to exchange their religious thought and teach the Buddhism to others. Later the 5th Dalai Lama, who was highly educated, invited by Mongolian king to Mongolia and offered the title 'DALAI', which means ocean of knowledge. Still it is a independent nation there is no intervene by Chinese official in tibet.
Later in 1949, when the Chinese revolution leader Mao Zedong took over the gov't, Tibet didn't turn into a communist regime and Tibet Central Gov't was still under Dalai Lama. However, some peoples who were working under the Dalai lama Gov't were corrupted and enjoyed by the Chinese bribery with gold coin. At the same time chinese were starting to occupy Tibet terretory from the border area. This created controversial between Tibet Central Gov't and Chinese gov't and decided to make an agreement, which called '17th point agreement.' But Dalai Lama's gov't was still unaware of his corruped ministers and send a guy called 'Nga-bo Nawang Jigme' to china for the agreement meeting. Nga-bo was one of those who was enjoying the chinese briary, but the Tibetan gov't thought he would be a better person for a meeting since he was closer to Chinese. What he did was signed the agrement which read, 'Tibet was part of China.' Then the Tibetan gov't couldn't do much since Chinese made everything legitimate and planned ahead of time to occupy Tibet.
Then the chinese military started to enter into Tibet and destroyed tibetan culture, religious temples, and killed about 1.2 millions tibetan.
The whole things started by the corrupted Tibetan ministers and chinese well planned. Tibet was never part of china. They might have thier own version of tibetan history, but this is what I learned from tibetan history.

I am a chinese.And unfortunately to some of you,i am also a communist party memeber.So in theory, i am very horrible and please permit me to type the following words with my 'bloody hands'.
I always anticipate that the year's Olympic game can be held in our country successfully. And i remember that most of us celebrated the winning of the right to hold the game several years ago. Many of us are preparing and expecting the game. None of us excepted that such a political event can happen suddenly in front of us. I am suprised that almost at the same time,riots happens at several places in the western part of our country. It is indeed a tragedy.
I am not a historian.Even i am,i don't anticipte that most people here can believe me since i have shown my identity. But i know that before 1949,when chinese communist party really control china, tibet is a part of china under the republic of china.And i also know that since 1979,most chinese people including tibetian have more opportuinites to develop themselves.And in fact before these riots,people in tibet have lived there peacefully and hopefully for two decades.That is a valuable period for them.
The independence of tibet from china is hopeless and unrealistic even though the recent events are suppoted by some western political leaders and media. The violence and terror can achieve nothing but hatry and blood. The riots hurted people in tibet and also the world.
I don't want that tibet becomes anther iraq or alfganitan.That is not a good news for everyone in the world but those who want to benefit from the blood and bomb.
