Andy Serkis conquers morbid fears

British actor Andy Serkis EPA/MARTIAL TREZZINIThe 'Lord of the Rings' star Andy Serkis admits he suffered from a morbid fascination with death as a child, and often wondered what would happen if his mother and father died.Serkis, 43, admits to the UK Telegraph his morbid curiosity has continued into his adult life and turned onto himself.He added: "As I've gotten older I've wondered what would happen to my wife Lorraine and kids if I died."Learning about the theory of relativity, he explained to the Telegraph, helped him conquer a crippling fear of death. 'When I was a kid I'd morbidly fantasise about my parents being killed, and it really, really upset me.' As an adult, he would wonder what would happen to his children - Ruby, nine, Sonny, seven and Louis, three - were he or Lorraine no longer around. "Playing Einstein blew the lid off it," he told the Telegraph. "As we're sitting here having this conversation, our planet is whizzing round at a huge, huge velocity. It's amazing. We're unaware of it, but when you start looking at cosmology, that transference of energy is very exciting."Serkis, who is currently starring in 'The Cottage', shot to fame after voicing and providing the movements for the CGI character of Gollum in the 'Lord of the Rings' trilogy.(C) BANG Media International

Someone didn't read Serkis's original comments properly... His wife's name is actually Lorraine; Ruby is his daughter. :¬}

As Louise has quite correctly stated, Andy's wife is called Lorraine and his daughter is called Ruby. As far as I am aware or unless we haven't been told, Andy is neither a Greek or Roman god (although he is built like one!) nor is his name Caligula (whose incest with his sisters is still highly speculated).
