Julia Roberts finds ageing liberating.
The 40-year-old actress has embraced hitting the landmark age and insists the best thing about getting older is the variety of movie roles she is now offered.
She said: "Getting older to me is nice. You are released from certain concepts. Plus, as you get older and more complicated, the parts that are offered to me are more interesting and varied. It's great."
Julia - who has three children, fraternal twins, Hazel and Phinnaeus, and son Henry - isn't the only Hollywood actress embracing the ageing process.
Catherine Zeta-Jones recently vowed to continue playing sexy characters for years to come.
The 38-year-old star insists she can still carry off raunchy roles and hasn't reached her peak yet.
The 'Chicago' actress - who has two children, son Dylan and daughter Carys, with 63-year-old husband Michael Douglas - said: "I'm not going to be playing old grannies any time soon. In my next movie, you'll be seeing a lot more of me, put it that way. I haven't actually reached my sexiest point."
