The cops should have been called. You see, and maybe I shouldn't say this to all you little thieves out there, security guards don't have the legal right to search you or your purse. Only the cops can search you.

Minimum wage cashiers don't care...Mar 20th, 2008 - 22:38:40

...if they actually scan all the items they put in your bag. It's actually happenned to me at CVS and Walgreens. Why should I watch to make sure they get every single item? That's their job. Michael K from the ZZZ list can suck it!

The alarm system is more to deter shoplifters than to catch shoplifters. In reality, stores like that are so petrified of getting sued for falsely stopping someone for shoplifting that there is hardly any reaction to those alarms at all. Frankly, I think the real reason why they exist is to keep the cashiers from falling asleep. Believe me. Mother Theresa could walk out that door with her girdle full of geritol and if someone even bothered to react it would be to just tell her to have a nice day.

So I work at a CVS and that is pretty much their policy. If the person hands back the product they are just told to not come in again and that is that. Just because she is famous I don't think things should change, but I do have to say that this made my day when i heard about it on the television. HAHA cvs is lame.
