Last week, during my Easter Break from school-a friend told me the sad news about Maggie Smith.
It's strange, because I'm directing a scene in my Theatre Directing Class
THE PRIME OF MISS JEAN BRODIE.
The scene when McKay confronts Jean with a note Sandy and Monica wrote.
That was a good scene.
I loved Maggie in JEAN BRODIE and The Harry Potter movies-and CALIFORNIA SUITE.
My Grandma and Great-Aunt had Breast Cancer. So I understand VERY WELL.
I'm dedicating my scene to Maggie-Cause she's an actress FIRST-LAST-AND ALWAYS.
Maggie WAS speaking the truth in JEAN BRODIE,'Give me a girl at an impressionble age-and she MINE FOR LIFE.'
Loved her in that movie, when I saw it on tv,as a young woman.

Dame Maggie is the GREATEST living actress! I had the great good fortune of briefly meeting her in New York City during her 'Lettice and Lovage' run A more down to earth and gracious person you could not find
We send her our love and prayers She truly is a legend and an international treasure!

Like Maggie, my Mom at age 73 was diagnosed with and treated for breast cancer. She was a cancer survivor for 10 more years, finally passing from old age. So there is a lot of hope for Maggie.

I remember that our family felt a lot of stress during her recovery, so I send a message of hope to them also.

Young Eli Stephens her grandson, needs time with his Granny so that he can build memories. I pray that God gives him that time.
