Lohan admits to being an American Idol fan saying, “I do watch American Idol. I’m a fan. I ‘m a fan Simon, Randy Jackson and Paula.”
The actress, who spent time in rehab last year, is excited to get back to movie making saying, “I’m part of a film that Jack Black is involved in that is starting around April, hopefully. We’re getting the cast together now….I can’t say too much. It’s a comedy…Ann-Margret is a part of it. Very excited.”
Sharing the screen with the iconic Margret is a dream for Lohan. “One of my favorite movies is her movie, Kitten with a Whip…It’s a great movie. I just really respect her,” she reveals.
Speaking of role models, Lohan had high marks for her "Georgia Rule" co-star Jane Fonda saying, “She’s wonderful. I do have a good relationship with her. We speak on occasion. She’s fantastic and she’s great to work with as well…She’s given me a lot of advice that’s been very helpful.”
Lohan is making up for lost time by producing a new album. “It’s more of a dance vibe…This one I do want to tour with. I do want to go big with. I’m working under the label Motown,” she explains.
When asked if singer Ne-Yo will be featured, Lohan exclaims, “He will be. Yes, I’m a really big fan of his. He’s great. I’m doing one of his songs too.”
Lohan had mixed reviews for her attention-seeking life-blood and bane of her existence: “The paparazzi subject is a really sore area to tap into. Because do you go against it and do you say you hate it and it bothers you and it sometimes does? Or do you accept that it’s their job?…I had four days off from them recently in LA. For four days they didn’t follow me at all. They didn’t know where I was staying so I got you [paparazzi]! It was fantastic.”
Lindsay won’t be the only Lohan in the public eye for long. Her sister Ali and mom Dina are set to star in her own reality show.
As for any advice Lohan has for her younger sister, she adds, “I wish her the best of luck. To keep her head on straight and to stay away from the clubs.” Regarding the rest of the Lohan clan, including her formerly estranged father, Lindsay deflected the question with a positive spin: “Everything’s great. Everyone’s happy.”
