..an utterly fabulous concert. I've been to some of these 70's bands who are touring and, while they are good, not many of them can reproduce their sound as well as Van Halen has.

Hopefully, a meaningful album...soon.

What comes around goes around my friends. Angus never talked smack about Eddy in the 80's but Eddy talked smack all the time about Angus. so....

Comparing Angus to Eddie. You are tone deaf and have no sense of artistic ability.

AC/DC fan.Mar 5th, 2008 - 23:00:20

AC/DC have one of the 5 greatest selling/highest selling and bestest albums of AAAALLLLLLL TIIIIIIMMME. ( like Michael Buffer )
I like V/H but I saw Eddie during the 0u812 tour. Eddie made whale noises with his guitar ( like Moby Dick -whale- ) I was looking for eruption and I got sonic noises that hurt my ears and was not impressed at all. I know music my friend. I play guitar- I am good.
I play both V/H numbers and AC/DC numbers. Guess which are easier?
If you said Angus' you'd be wrong.
Here are some examples....compare the solo on the album '' If you want blood you got it '' in the song '' Let there be Rock '' it's live by the way. To any Eddie live solo from whatever period. You shook me all night long to Eruption. Thunderstruck to Poundcake.
Eddie is a showman....an ostentatious snob...Look how good I play kind of guy.
Angus is a true all around solid player with genuine musical sensibilities. He goofs off but never shows off.
He's an honest guy as opposed to Eddie who is a HAM.
I sill like V/H and will continue to rock out but really....c'mon.
Anyone can play like Eddie. Angus is a MAESTRO. If you knew music you'd understand and believe me. But being a V/H fan and an average observer rather than a trained musician...I know you won't.

Everyone has a gimmick.Mar 6th, 2008 - 03:47:10

Yeah...Angus does his school boy thing. But it's a joke he does it to be funny.
Eddie wears overalls with a strap swinging around. Oh and he's got like these really cool stripes that go in all different directions.
Actually he was not around for awhile so I don't know what his stage gear is anymore. But I remember it was all the rage in 1982.

Man for me i have never really compared the two but they both jam in different ways like the porche to the corvette.Personnaly Angus is more solid all around im 39 and i lived alot of parties with both band blasting in the background and i have to say i love both for different reasons.Butt if i had a chance to meet either one it would be angus he is more real.

Run by Homosexual deviants and fairy little kiss ass' people who never worked a day in a life or ever even learned to play a Guitar.
Let me see Hmmmm? # 5 album of all time. Let me say that again....of ALL TIME.
Besides that graph or chart or list does not place the guitar player by skill or merit it is a list of all the greatest players they could think of. Let me guess..I did not even look...Hendrix is No. 1 right? Well guess what? He's dead.
#70 /# 96 it don't matter they don't make money by who's better or who Thinks who is better. It's album sales BABY !!! ALBUM SALES !!!!
#5 is alive.....

I will give Eddie the credit he deserves as an innovator and great player.
But...if you asked the 200,000,000 plus people who Bought '' Back in Black'' who is the Best they're going to say Angus...all of them.
But I am going to go ahead and say Eddie is the better technical player.
if they had a JAM off lick for lick note for note It would be a draw.
But Without a doubt. Any smart person would agree....Both of these GUiTAR TITANS have to take a back seat to Jimmy PAGE.
This is coming from an AC/DC fan.

Gone with the Wind sold more tickets than any other film in history but I wouldn't declare Clark Gable the best actor of all time.
