Kid Rock pleads not guilty to battery charge

Los Angeles - Singer Kid Rock has pleaded not guilty to a charge of battery from a fight at a fast food restaurant in Atlanta, Georgia. EPA/ANDREW GOMBERTKid Rock, whose real name is Robert James Ritchie, entered the plea through his attorney Darryl Cohen in DeKalb County State Court in Georgia, according to Cohen's office. The charges stem from an incident in October when Ritchie and five members of his entourage were arrested on a misdemeanor charge of simple battery after a fight at an Atlanta Waffle House, where they had stopped following a performance. Officials say a fight broke out after another customer made comments about a woman in Kid Rock's party.
