Britney Spears' drug investigation

Britney Spears is the subject of an official police investigation over claims she was drugged.

The Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) is now investigating accusations made by the singer's mother Lynne that Britney's manager Sam Lutfi drugged her daughter.

Police Captain Kyle Jackon confirmed the Robbery-Homicide Unit "are considering" the allegations and will determine whether or not any laws have been violated. No suspects have been identified yet.

Meanwhile, a source close to Britney has denied rumours the star is expecting a baby with her paparazzo beau Adnan Ghalib.

The 26-year-old, who already has two sons, has recently gained weight because of a change in her prescribed medication.

A source close to the singer said: "Britney has put on weight because the doctors have switched her prescription. She is most definitely not pregnant."

British-born Adnan, who has been romancing Britney since late last year, is said to have been bragging Britney was carrying his child.

A source close to the Birmingham photographer told America's Star magazine: "Adnan is boasting he's going to be a dad - and Britney wants a baby girl who is just like her.

"Britney is his dream come true. He knows that if he has a child with her, he'll be made for life."
