Nicole Richie debuts baby

Nicole Richie has unveiled the first photos of daughter Harlow Winter.

'The Simple Life' star poses with the month-old baby on the cover of this week's People magazine, and says becoming a mother has given her life a "whole new meaning".

Nicole, who is engaged to rocker Joel Madden, said: "Harlow came out and I knew she looked like me, and I was holding her, and it was something so much bigger than me. Now she looks a little more like Joel, but when she was born, it looked like Joel had nothing to do with it!

"But it's almost like I don't even remember what life was like before her. She gives life a whole new meaning and a whole new purpose."

Nicole, 26, also revealed she is finding it hard to control her appetite because she is breastfeeding.

She added: "There's just so much I can't eat because Harlow is so sensitive. I eat really bland food like chicken noodle soup, vegetables, fish. I have had to cut out milk, tomatoes and lettuce.

"You think you have to cut everything out when you're pregnant, but you really have to cut everything out when you're breastfeeding!"

People magazine is said to have paid $1 million for the pictures, which will feature on the cover of their next issue, which hits US newsstands on Friday (29.02.08).
