Kate Hudson says her divorce from Chris Robinson was "so simple".
The 'How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days' actress, who has a four-year-old son Ryder with The Black Crowes frontman, says the 2006 split was incredibly straightforward.
She said: "Obviously, we've all heard nightmare stories about people getting divorced, but ours was so simple. The only thing that was difficult was that we love each other, but we knew we weren't working. So when it actually came time to part ways, it just hurt.
"It feels the same way as a break-up but when you have a child together, it makes it that much more difficult, because you feel like you're failing at something. Then, almost two years goes by and you realise nothing's changed! You're still in each other's lives, the baby's totally happy, you're totally happy and it worked!"
Kate also refused to rule out ever rekindling her romance with Chris.
She added to New! magazine: "Me and Chris? I say never say never but at the same time there's a reason why we split. I mean, you don't divorce frivolously. Our divorce didn't happen overnight. It was a process that you have to think about. But hey, you never know!"
