Lindsay Lohan has signed up to star in a new movie alongside Jack Black.
The 21-year-old actress - who recently caused controversy when she posed nude as Marilyn Monroe for New York magazine - will start shooting comedy 'Ye Olde Times' in April.
The film, which also stars 'Scream' stars Matthew Lillard and David Arquette, tells the story of two Medieval troupes as they compete to be crowned supreme in the world of Renaissance Faires.
It is unclear what role Lindsay will play.
Lindsay - who received critical acclaim for her role in teen comedy 'Mean Girls' - was universally slated for starring in 2007's 'I Know Who Killed Me', a movie which bypassed the cinema circuit and went straight to DVD.
Meanwhile, it has been reported Lindsay is working hard on her new album.
Her song-writing partner Jeremy Greene spoke recently about a track called 'Faith' on the as yet untitled record.
He said: "I think Lindsay relates to this song as well because it's about complicated relationships in someone's life. With everyone around her, she's definitely dealt with these kinds of relationships."
