The Jonas Brothers are America's hottest boy band at the moment. They also will keep their virginity intact, and wear purity rings as proof.

Details magazine got a glimpse of the proof in Madison Square Garden, as the Jonas Brothers showed off their purity rings.

Kevin, Joe, and Nick Jonas reportedly wear the metal bands on their fingers to symbolize, as Joe puts it, "promises to ourselves and to God that we'll stay pure till marriage." Joe is 18.

Nick, who is 15, says, "I got mine made at Disney World. It's pretty awesome." Kevin, at 20, and his ring representing a vow of abstinence is bejeweled with studs. "It's pretty rock and roll," Kevin tells Details. "It's getting banged up a little bit because of the guitar."

The Jonas Brothers harken back the days of the squeaky clean Osmonds, despite the fact the culture is awash in South Park and Adult Swim cartoons and films like Superbad, American Pie spin-offs and a phalanx of Farrelly Brothers films.

Behind the sugar coated sweetness of the Jonas brothers is behemoth Disney. The reach of the multimedia corporation all but guarantees that the Jonas Brothers will be a juggernaut of G-rated cash windfalls for many.

Also on tap is the smallscreen project J.O.N.A.S., a TV series with a tip of the hat to the old Monkees show from the Sixties.

"It's an acronym for Junior Operatives Networking As Spies," Joe tells Details. "We are secret agents, and our cover is that we're a band."

Thanks for this article about the Jonas Brothers. Your report was fair and objective, with no snide comments. However, just to elaborate (AND because the media has gone CRAZY reporting about the Jonas Bros purity rings and the fact that they have pledged to remain virgins until marriage- as if this was a sudden development!...)- these guys have worn these rings for YEARS- before Disney and before stardom. This is not a new gimmick to get publicity; this is the way they are and the way they were raised. Unlike the aforementioned Disney stars who pledged the same, these guys have an unbelievable family support system, their parents and little brother tour with them and they were raised to be good, clean, honest Christians with high values, morals, self-esteem and a great love for each other!! Sure, there will be many more temptations now that they are superstars, but that's life. I think we've only seen the tip of the iceberg in terms of these guys popularity, but as the mother of a teen girl - I would MUCH rather her admire and 'obsess' about Jonas Brothers than any other pop band or solo artist. I'm a fan, too. I think they are wonderfully talented and deserve to go a long way in this business.
God bless them and give them strength to keep making music and spreading their faith and their example!!!

If there were three superhero brothers with the united power to be the ultimate role model for young people today, their names would be Kevin, Joseph and Nicholas Jonas.

Through the spotlight they have been faithful to God, and I not only want to commend them but also to thank them for remaining steadfast in his ways. They create a positive and inspiring influence through their music, style and attitude.

Kevin, Joe and Nick, you and your family are in my prayers! God Bless!!!

I cannot wait for the J.O.N.A.S. show to come on T.V. i absolutly love the jonas brothers. I think that it's great for them to wear purity rings, and they have good morals, coming from a strongly religous family. Their music is amazing, and so are their looks, hopefully they are here to stay for a long time, and keep their same values.

I agree with the whole concept of 'I can do all things through HIM that strengthens me..., but I still think that the Jonas Brother's voices and talents should be used to glorify their Creator. HINT, HINT, I am looking forward to the Jonas Brothers Praise and Worship future album... I am sure that with their incredible songwriting that they could come out with some beautiful lyrics praising Our Lord and Savior. I would so love that!!! Also, I am sure that Brooke Fraser from Hillsong could be quite the example for them! He is truly worthy of our praise, and should never come as second best!
