Drew Barrymore's wild ways warning

Drew Barrymore has told troubled young stars like Britney Spears and Amy Winehouse to "pull themselves together".

The 'Charlie's Angels' actress, who entered rehab for the first time when she was just 13-years-old, believes the only way to beat your drink and drug demons is to do it for yourself.

Drew, who began drinking alcohol when she was nine and smoked marijuana when she was 10, said: "If you don't pull it together for yourself, no one else will. That's coming from a person who had to try it all and who still loves to have a good time."

The 32-year-old star - who shot to fame in 'E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial' when she was seven - also insists she never let her personal problems affect her work.

She added to Vogue magazine: "I do believe in 'Work hard, play hard,' but 'Work hard' always comes first, and it did even when I was wild and young."

Drew has seemingly put her wild days behind her and has been dating actor Justin Long for six months.

She was previously married twice - to Welsh bartender Jeremy Thomas and US comedian Tom Green.

Drew had a long-term relationship with Strokes drummer Fabrizio Moretti, but the pair split in January 2007.
