Attorney for Kevin Federline, Mark Vincent Kaplan, spoke to Extra outside a Beverly Hills courthouse yesterday where he revealed Kfed’s parenting skills, his future career and what to expect in his custody case with ex-wife, Britney Spears.

When asked how Kevin is handling single fatherhood, Kaplan responded, “Kevin is home a lot. He’s doing everything that he can to make up for the fact that the boys are with him and keeping family around and trying to have them [the boys] not aware that there’s any change whatsoever…He’s doing great at being a parent.”
Kaplan told “Extra” that KFed wants Spears in his sons’ lives saying, “It has always been and it is now and will continue to be his desire for the children to have their mother in their life under whatever conditions are reasonable, based on progress.”
Speaking of progress, when asked if Spears will be forced to undergo another psychiatric evaluation, Kaplan responded, “I don’t know that an evaluation of that type has been done at all and I don’t know whether or not the court will order any type of evaluation…”
Kaplan also tells “Extra” the case in all likelihood would not be moved to federal court saying, “I don’t believe the family law case could or would be moved. There’s no family law jurisdiction in federal court so it’d be very unlikely…”
Although, the length of this case is “quite impossible to predict” according to Kaplan, his client continues to pursue career opportunities. “He [KFed] is evaluating two or three [acting gigs] right now and he’ll decide shortly which one he wants to put his energy into..regardless which he chooses, it won’t require him to be away from his children on any extensive basis,” Kaplan shared.
