Kylie Minogue's Valentine boycott

Kylie Minogue boycotted Valentine's Day (14.02.08) and spent it with her best friend.
The '2 Hearts' singer - who has denied rumours she has rekindled her romance with ex-lover Olivier Martinez - decided to shun the traditionally romantic day for lovers because she is single at the moment.
She said: "I'm ignoring Valentine's Day. I'm boycotting it all, what's the point because I have nobody special in my life at the moment. I will be celebrating with my girlfriend instead because it's her birthday so not your traditional Valentine's Day."
Kylie also revealed she would prefer to ignore her 40th birthday on May 28.
She added: "I'm not looking forward to turning 40 but I guess I have to get excited about it. I'm a rubbish party planner so normally I don't bother, but I guess I have to this time round, I'll just get my pal William Baker to help.
"I don't want a huge party, I just want a few friends round. I mean turning 40 isn't really something to celebrate is it? I'd rather ignore it."
