Penelope Cruz is "looking forward" to getting older.
The 33-year-old 'Volver' actress, who stars as a student who embarks on an affair with a 64-year-old professor in her new film 'Elegy', is not worried about losing her looks and thinks age will make her a better actress.
She said: "I'm really looking forward to being older. I want to experience things - I'm even looking forward to having backaches and using that in my work!"
Penelope also dismissed reports she isn't considered a serious actress because of her sexy looks.
She said: "I've had plenty of offers for roles that have nothing to do with any of that. I think you also have to be pretty egocentric to think that you have that problem. I don't engage in that debate because I am allergic to it."
Meanwhile, it was recently revealed Penelope will be starring in a raunchy lesbian sex scene with Scarlett Johansson in Woody Allen's new film, 'Vicky Cristina Barcelona'.
A film insider said: "It's an extremely erotic scene. People will be blown away and even shocked. Penelope and Scarlett go at it in a red-tinted photography dark room, and it will leave the audience gasping."
