'The Constant Gardener' actress is only 36, but admits she is already paranoid about her stunning looks starting to slide.
She said: "I suppose that I'll take myself back to the theatre. I started out there and I think I can always go back and be an old lady on the stage. It's so much more forgiving on wrinkles.
"The stage is more forgiving in general. Hollywood is hard. I think it's very much an old boys' club. There aren't enough female directors telling stories from a woman's point of view."
Rachel - who has a 20-month-old son Henry Chance with her director fiancé Darren Aronofsky - also said she was surprised by how "laid back" she is as a mother.
She said: "Motherhood has made me more content and more fulfilled, definitely. I didn't know what I'd be like as a mother. I'm much less neurotic than I would have expected. I'm pretty laid back.
"Henry is a tough little guy. I'm here to protect him and care for him, but I feel comfortable with him exploring the world a little bit too!"
