Pete Doherty is charging just £100 to perform at private parties.

The Babyshambles rocker agreed to play at a fan's birthday bash for the paltry sum and has now been bombarded with requests to play at other events.

A source told Britain's The Sun newspaper: "The birthday girl's dad told him she was a huge fan and that he'd give him £100 to perform at her party.

"Pete was flattered and happy to oblige He turned up and played his big hits. Everyone had a great time.

"Her dad told the local paper and Pete is now in huge demand."

Doherty used to charge fans just £10 to hear him play in his flat when he was still in The Libertines to help pay for his expensive drug habit.

His measly prices are a million miles away from what the world's best musicians charge for private shows.

The Rolling Stones demand up to £4 million - making them the most expensive party act on the planet.

The Eagles charge £3.75 million, followed by Canadian singer Celine Dion who commands around £3.3 million.

George Michael banked £1.5 million to play at a Russian billionaire's house on New Year's Eve, while Sir Elton John asked one British businessman to pay him £1 million to treat guests at his wedding reception to his biggest hits.
