George Clooney "looks down" on reality TV stars.
Clooney says there is a "pecking order" among actors, but insists all thespians have a low opinion of talentless attention seekers.
He said: "There is a strange pecking order among actors. Theatre actors look down on film actors, who look down on TV actors. Thank God for reality shows, or we wouldn't have anybody to look down on."
George's comments have seemingly ruled him out of appearing on hit US talent show 'Dancing With the Stars'.
Last month, the show's host Samantha Harris said: "George Clooney, I pose this challenge to you - I want to see you shake your hips!
"You know what? George Clooney is such a gentleman, and he looks fantastic in a tux, I think that he would do an amazing job in the ballroom numbers."
Clooney originally found fame in the 90s as Dr. Doug Ross, in US hit TV show 'ER'.
He then hit the big time in Hollywood with roles in a string of hit movies including 'Three Kings', 'Syriana' - for which he won the Best Supporting Actor Oscar in 2006 - and 'Ocean's Eleven'.
This year, he has been nominated for Best Actor for his role in 'Michael Clayton' at the upcoming Academy Awards due to take place on February 24.

Right, and he shows such scope when he cocks his head and adds his little half smile.
He's got a point though. Regardless of his lack of acting ability, reality shows are just a bunch of people looking for attention because they can't get it anywhere else.
I am not a fan of reality show, but why is the pot calling the kettle black?
bahahhahaha, reality TV doesn't have stars. reality tv is just trash, heck it doesn't even require real writing. It's something we can joke and laugh at as one of the worst inventions next to boy bands of the 90s. the people who thought these two things up should be apologizing to the world.
reality tv is live sports, live debates, live news, anything live but what these media companies want the public to think is reality TV. there's no reality in what people call 'reality tv' it's a pre-recorded
That's a rant?? Get real. Another sensationalize headline on a one-liner comment. Knowing George, it was certainly intended to be humorous, not hurtful.
Regarding his acting skills: he's great. You don't think so? When you guys get your first Golden Globe, SAG or Oscar, then come see me.
mini-rant was for attention; he just wants a little spotlight. I hear it's addicting and is THE drug for all celebrities.
