Farrow chides Spielberg over Darfur-China connection

EPA/MAK REMISSANow the actress Mia Farrow, who has been talking on chat shows and giving interviews for several years about this situation, is chastising director/producer Steven Spielberg over his involvement in the upcoming Chinese Olympics.Page Six reports that Farrow feels Spielberg "is a hero for drumming up awareness of the Holocaust" yet it is disappointing that he is now failing to act for Darfur. Spielberg reportedly became an artistic advisor for the opening and closing ceremonies for the upcoming Olympics. After the news broke that China is supplying the Sudan with $2 billion in oil revenues, Spielberg still remained in the position. "It has been nearly a year since Mr. Spielberg contacted President Hu about Beijing's role in the Darfur genocide. Given the deteriorating situation on the ground, we hope that Mr. Spielberg will waste no more time - and officially distance himself from the Games," Farrow said yesterday in a statement, reports Page Six. Spielberg's publicists deny any complicit behavior. Page Six reports that the director "has donated to various Darfur advocacy groups, including $1 million to the effort spearheaded by George Clooney and Don Cheadle."

I am sooo miffed that Don Cheadle name shoud follow Clooney, cheadle was the one who introduced that over bearing pompous asss to Dafur and its struggle, why is he not getting the accolades that the person receives, he has done more that the person. Give Cheadle his dues, Clooney is just a photog hog.

Cheadle never 'followed' Clooney.
