The 'Boys Don't Cry' actress, who is famous for her unusual fashion sense, insists she is totally responsible for choosing her own clothes, unlike many A-listers who rely on stylists.
She said: "These people are celebrated for their style and they don't even dress themselves! It's so unfair!
"A few years ago I started wearing these white Ray-Ban Wayfarers that my mother found at a flea market in Connecticut. I loved them and wore them every day, but I was constantly made fun of. But then the next summer those white Ray-Bans were everywhere! Mary-Kate Olsen wore them and it was like, 'Mary-Kate starts a new trend.' I never got any credit! I'm just off the radar!"
Chloe, who has just signed up to be the style advisor for Britain's Elle magazine, also revealed her secrets to looking effortlessly trendy.
She told the publication: "It's about knowing what looks good on you, wearing it with pride and having a certain confidence and swagger."
