'Little Miss Sunshine' star Abigail Breslin wants to be a vet.
The 11-year-old actress - who was nominated for an Academy Award for her role in last year's unexpected hit film 'Little Miss Sunshine' - is planning to quit the movie industry to open an animal hospital.
She told Britain's The Times newspaper: "I'd really like to be a vet. At the moment I have an Alsatian, a dachshund, a cat and a turtle.
"I think elephants are my favourites, although they may be a little bit big for the vet hospital. But never mind, I just love animals."
Abigail - who starred as Mel Gibson's daughter Bo in 2002 film 'Signs', and has since acted alongside Catherine Zeta-Jones and Kate Hudson in movies including 'No Reservations' and 'Raising Helen' - isn't the only child actor to already be thinking about a new career path.
'The Golden Compass' actress Dakota Blue Richards, 13, recently revealed that even though she starred in one of the most highly-anticipated book adaptations of last year, her heart lies elsewhere.
She said: "Honestly, I don't see acting as a full-time job for me. It would get so very lonely, always being away from home, family and friends.
"So I want to be a teacher, ideally a supply teacher at primary schools. I want the children to be excited about having a lesson with Miss Richards!"
Abigail can next be seen in 'Definitely, Maybe' with Isla Fisher and Ryan Reynolds, while Dakota will star alongside Ioan Gruffudd in 'The Secret of Moonacre', due out later this year.
