Many celebrities have appeared on entertainment news shows, CNN's Larry King and issued statements regarding the accidental death of Heath Ledger. But outside of Ledger's immediate family, those truly closest to the "Dark Knight" actor are keeping under wraps and not speaking to the press.
Actress Michelle Williams, Heath Ledger's former girlfriend, arrived at her home in Brooklyn, N.Y., with their daughter, Matilda Rose. The actress pulled up in a black Ford SUV which pulled straight into a three car garage on Hoyt Street.
The actress was immediately covered up by a friend and taken into the house. She did not speak to any reporters.
Williams arrived at Newark International Airport in New Jersey shortly after 7 p.m. ET.
She was spotted Wednesday morning trying to catch a flight to New York after learning of the 28-year-old actor's untimely death.
Filming "Mammoth", Michelle was on location in Sweden when she got word of Heath's death late Tuesday night in her hotel, a spokesperson for the film's production company confirms to OK! magazine.
Ledger's ex girlfriend, actress Naomi Watts has been in seclusion and reportedly is devastated at the news of Ledger's passing. Watts' brother Ben called her to break the news, but, she already knew.
"Naomi is just devastated," a close friend of the Watts family tells In Touch magazine. "The whole family is overcome with sadness," the insider adds. "She was supposed to arrive in Park City, Utah today to promote her film "Funny Games" at Sundance, but she cancelled the trip."
TMZ is reporting that Jake Gyllenhaal is in New Mexico currently shooting the film "Brothers."
The actor, who co-starred with Ledger in "Brokeback Mountain" is godfather to Matilda Rose, and is reportedly so upset about his friend's passing that he is unable to talk to the media.
Production on the film has not shut down; however, the set is closed to all non-crew members and extra security has been hired.
