Jerry is a flippen Genious! this is one of the best parody's I've seen to date! thank you for showing just how nuts Tom Cruise has become. Its sad that we've lost such a talented actor to the whack side, but at least we still have Jerry! Three Cheers for Jerry!!

A D-list washed up actor whose career is so going down the toilet does this stupid video, what a desperate idiot he must be if he thinks by doing this crappy video it will do any good. Just because this fool is trying to imatate Tom Cruise(and I am not a fan of Tom's either)and this is suppose to make him a good actor. What a bunch of bullshit, O'Connell should just realize that he has no talent and he is a pathetic asshole who has no career!!!

Hmm, yeah, because how dead on funny a parody is has everything to do with how successful a movie career the satirist has. Brilliant. Sorry if he made fun of your idol.

Jason is obviously following the 'attack not defend' method of scientology. I'm continually amazed at how scientologists respond to criticism (or in this case someone who is just simply doing a parody).

You must be a moron yourself where the hell did you get the impression that Tom is my idol. I clearly said that I was not a fan of his, can you not read, so what is your problem? Does this pathetic excuse of an actor have nothing better to do with his time, obviously not, that now he now has to make fun of someone else, what a loser, and I do not give a rat's ass who he is trying to pretend to be. Any normal, successful and talented actor would not have done such a video. It only shows his immaturity and stupidity, what an idiot! Let's hope we do not have to see this fool again.

Jason, it's ok to be angry with someone who just did a brilliant take down of the person you are infatuated with (I happen to like him too). But what else can you expect from a SP like Jerry O'Connell. However, life is too short. Just focus on your own Thetan issues and do as Cruise advises - KSW, brother.

Before you attack me let me say that I am NOT a scientologist. I agree that Tom is crazy, weird and out of control and he is known for his strange and odd behavior especially since he is part of the cult known as Scientology. But no matter how much you may hate him for who he is, what he believes in and how he presents himself with his actions and mannerisms he is still a successful actor. Tom has many projects on the go as well as projects that he will be producing. What projects is Jerry working on?? Carpoolers is hanging by a thread and with such low ratings how can it last. Jerry cannot even compare himself to Tom when it comes to acting and what Tom has accomplished in his career as an actor. Unfortunately, for Tom his problems with his personal life seems to distract ones attention away from his acting ability.
As I can see it Jerry took this opportunity only to make fun of Tom and Scientology in hopes that this would draw more attention to him, why else would he do it? He should have kept his mouth shut and his opinion to himself. The video in which Jerry is mocking is my understanding was made 4 years ago and just so happens to have made it to the internet now. It has been spliced and edited to make Tom appear more crazy than he already is if that is possible. But I hear that the original video apparently was not as bad as the revised version. I bet alot of people do not know about the other video including so called actor Jerry. I would be very interested in seeing the original as a comparison to see what all the hype is about.

Deon, no one is going to attack you for supporting Cruise. We are all here to commit ad hominems against Jerry O'Connell. So welcome.

The way I see it, what negates the hilariousness of O'Connell's spoof is that compared to Cruise, O'Connell has made less money, made less movies, and is not as good looking. Finally, O'Connell is a classic SP. That's what it comes down to - Period. So everyone needs to ask themselves, 'are you on board with Cruise, or are you not on board.' We don't need any spectators.

Now I will definitely go see more Cruise movies because I didn't think he did anything wrong. I think he is perfectly sane. However, I will not go see anything made by O'Connell. I will not even watch 'Jerry Maguire' even though Cruise is in it. How is that for revenge ;-). I hope this sends a message to others out there that your career is over if you make fun of Cruise. Now, let's go take over the world.

Come on we all know the only reason Jerry had to make such a useless video and that is that he so desperately had an urge to immitate Tom, because Tom is obviously his idol! He has worked with Tom before and he really would like to work with him again cause this poor loser needs a job!
Tom is so much more successful than him and so he just wants to impress Tom so much so that he will recruite him into Sceintology. Jerry is trying so hard to be an actor and he is hoping that Tom can help him. Sorry, Jerry but you are just a talentless idiot and I am sure that Tom would not give you the time of day. LOL.

I laughed until I cried! So funny. Why does it matter if Tom Cruise makes more money than Jerry? Does that mean he has no right to call him out on being nuts? Would it have been better if say, Brad Pitt did that? I was under the impression that free speech is alive and well! I guess it's only ok for Scientologists to say whatever they want to whomever they want. God Bless Jerry O'Connell for having the guts to do what the silent majority are thinking!

I too am now going to laugh until I die. HA HA HA HA HA HA! Brad Pitt are you serious??? For your information Brad is an actor, why the hell would he even want to make a video that makes fun of someone! Brad or any other REAL actor would not waste their time, they have much more important things that they can do, they have careers. They would not be so stupid as to have to do something like this. But Jerry on the other hand is no REAL actor so he can just go right ahead and make an ass out of himself all he wants cause he has nothing to loose!! I needed a good laugh! you made my day!

In response, I didn't realize actors were so serious these days. And really, don't laugh until you die. It's not that big of a deal. Brad Pitt actually did waste his precious time making fun of Larry Craig, US Senator. So did George Clooney! I just can't believe how immature those busy actors are! Jerry seems like a much more normal person than Tom even though he has so much more to 'loose.' KSW!!!!

Larry Craig is this not the US senator that had sex in a men's washroom? I cannot blame Brad or George for making comments about him. But anyways, I was not aware that either Brad Pitt or George Clooney had also made videos that actually make fun of Larry Craig, as I have not seen any such videos.
I think what Jerry Rocks does not understand here is that with Jerry's video he was not only mocking Tom Cruise but he was actually trying to be just like him. I mean he even went as far as dressing like him (the black turtleneck, sytling his hair like him, laughing like him and using the same acroyms. Even the surroundings and the room's atmosphere were the same as in Tom's video.
This was not just a video making fun of someone's but it seems more than that almost as if Jerry hates the actor. It is like he has something to prove. Makes you wonder who really is nuts?

I just am beginning to think that scientologists are their own worst enemies.
Seriously, the way you guys represent yourselves, comes across far from being enlightened.

Jerry O'Connell was simply doing a parody piece, but even that brings out the attack not defend policy. He's a 'pathetic asshole', 'talentless idiot' and so on. So I guess I learned one more thing about Scientology's superior ideology, that how much money a person makes, their material success represents what that person's value is as a human being.

Of course I have already learned that anyone who disagrees with your views can be branded as an 'sp' and are considered to be a 'criminal', 'anti social' and 'raving lunatic'. Also as an 'sp', they deserve to be 'tricked', 'lied to', 'sued', 'deprived of property' and 'destroyed'. Are these some of the ethics Tom Cruise talks about?

Are these a part of the teachings of L. Ron Hubbard?

So I'm suppose to believe that you guys are suppose to be the authorities on the mind, uniting cultures, bringing peace to the world?

I have to agree with Jerry Rocks. First of all, you need to do your research on what George or Brad have done. It's very easy to go to any video website and look these up...unless you are an idiot - IDIOTS UNITE! Also, why would anyone think Jerry wants to be like Tom...? Do you even know what a parody is? IDIOTS UNITE! Furthermore, none of you seemed to address the most critical point made by Jerry Rocks. Freedom of Speech does not come with monetary status or a career status amongst your peers - it's the right of all Americans - even idiots. IDIOTS UNITE!For those of you defending Tom - IDIOTS UNITE! Afterall, its just logical that Scientology dislikes modern psychatry so much. Because their members are the ones mainly affected by it. ROFL

Val and Idiots Unite,

You've just demonstrated that you are not in control of your own reality; you do not see the world in all it's beauty and complexity. Otherwise you would not fail to see that Cruise is so much superior to O'Connell in every way. You would not believe in O'Connell's lies and laugh at Cruise's genius. Guess who's supporting Cruise: Adam Sandler, Dustin Hoffman, Bruce Willis, Demi Moore, Jim Carrey, and Ben Stiller. Do you think they are all crazy? Read it:

BTW, O'Connell's career is going anywhere. He will now be a pariah in Hollywood. You are just being superficial when you say that looks, money, or success doesn't matter. Just ask the stars.

I think the problem is that you do not understand why you have all those voices in your head, which tell you to make fun of things you don't understand. What you need to do is read some books; go buy Dianetics and get with the winning team. KSW!

One has to wonder the reason why someone would do a parody that makes fun of someone. It is not certain why Mr. O'Connell felt that he needed to do a parody on a video that just has surfaced on the internet of Mr. Cruise and Scientology.
It is well known that Mr. O'Connell earlier in his career had worked with Tom on the film 'Jerry McGuire'. Tom has been an actor and in this business for many years and has worked with many actors, he has always been respected by his peers and people he has worked with. The fact that Tom is a Scientologist was never an issue. I think that when actors get the opportunity to work with someone who knows the business and has been in it so long would look at this as a learning experience. I do not think that Jerry fully understands and appreciates the fact that he was very lucky that he had the opportunity to be part of a successful movie. Many young actors do not get this chance. Rather than taking it for granted he should have been thrilled that he was able to learn from this experience and gain valuable knowledge of the entertainment industry.
Doing this film along side Tom may have helped his career and may have helped him establish himself as an actor.
For many actors getting into the business and making a name for themselves is never easy.
Who would have figured that years later Jerry would mock Tom, someone who probably even may have helped him in his career. I personally think that Jerry made a huge mistake when he made the parody about Tom and most very likely it is going to effect his future as an actor. I am sure he has lost the respect of many in this business. He will be thought of as a person who really could cares less who he hurts or offends. Doing a parody about someone without their permission is an invasion of privacy and very disrespectful. Yes, parodies can be funny but as long as everyone involved agrees to it especially the person who is being mocked. When a parody is done without the other person knowing then it has gone too far and then it is more about hating someone or something. This parody was not done in fun but it was meant to attack someone on a personal level by insulting their beliefs and private lifestyle it should really be no ones business what that person does with his/her life and how they want to live it. I think that most people are intelligent that they are capable of thinking for themselves and they can decide what they want or what they do not want to be a part of and this includes Scientology.
Val I must say that I am disappointed in your comments. I strongly get the impression that you hate Scientology and you are so entitled to your opinion that is definately your choice no one is saying you can not feel this way. But when you get upset just because someone may have a different opinion than you you quickly assume that that person must be a 'Scientologist' which I think we know is not true. Not everyone is going to be a Scientologist and I think everyone out there is entitled to their opinions just like you.
You are absolutely right about the freedom of speech, with that said, everyone has the right to voice their opinion no matter what that opinion may be, and some may have a different opinion than you but then not everyone is going to think the same as you.
There is already too much hate in this world why do we need to make matters worse!

Ken, that's right. Comedians and parodists are on notice. They need to get permission before they make fun of someone in a joke or a parody. Cruise was just voicing his intense beliefs about Scientology. What's so funny about that? If you think that's funny and you get it in your mind to make some stupid video about it, then you might just find yourself out of work because no one is going to talk to you or hang out with you anymore. I don't think O'Connell is going to be invited to any parties with Ben Stiller, John Travolta, Adam Sandler, Will Smith, and etc. Just leave Tom Cruise alone and go see his movies. Avoid any movies with O'Connell in them.

Dean, again I'm amazed,

I guess being a critic of fair game laws make me a hateful person. Maybe you are not a scientologist, but the rational you use sounds familiar... But lets say you're not. So do you think using fair game laws on people who are critics of scientology is ethical?

As far as the asking permission on jokes and parody thing, if that is your belief, then whatever, fine.... No parody can ever be as vicious and mean as fair game tactics.

But I can only take so much of this Tom Cruise, Scientology craziness.

Yes, truly ruinous scoffing at a ridiculous alien pyramid scheme and its blithering, washed-up cheerleader. Poor jerry. He's about as ruined Trey Parker and Matt Stone.

The daft rarely have a grasp of irony or reality. Perfect marks really. haha got a bridge for sale.
