Lindsay Lohan will work in a mortuary as punishment for her driving under the influence (DUI) offence.
The 'Mean Girls' star will spend two four-hour days working alongside dead bodies as part of her community service.
Lindsay's lawyer Blair Berk told a judge about her planned mortuary work during a progress report on Thursday (17.01.08).
The 21-year-old was arrested twice last year - in May for DUI and cocaine possession and again in July for DUI - and pleaded guilty in August to misdemeanour DUI and cocaine possession.
As part of the court's programme to show Lindsay the "real life consequences of DUI" she was sentenced to serve 24 hours in jail, placed on probation for three years, as well as ordered to complete an 18-month alcohol education programme and perform 10 days of community service.
She has already fulfilled two days of community service at a Los Angeles' American Red Cross blood services facility in November.
Lindsay served just 84 minutes of her prison sentence, because of overcrowding.
She spent two months in rehab at Utah's Cirque Lodge centre in August, following her arrest in July.
