Juliette Binoche is the new face of Lancome's anti-ageing skincare range.

The 'Chocolat' actress will follow in the footsteps of previous Lancome faces including Anne Hathaway, Kate Winslet and Clive Owen by becoming the new face of the brand's Renergie skincare line.

This will be the second time the French-born actress has worked for the brand. In 1995, Juliette was the face of Lancome's Poeme fragrance.

Lancome International President Odile Roujol said: "It is an immense pleasure for us to welcome Juliette Binoche back to Lancome.

"Her career choices, her natural and moving beauty, her independent spirit and generosity epitomise the values essential to our brand. Juliette embodies the essence of French femininity."

The 43-year-old actress' new advertising campaign - shot by photographer Nick Knight - is expected to appear on billboards worldwide later this year.

Meanwhile, Juliette revealed despite never tying the knot, she has always dreamt of getting married.

She said: "It's not a great regret, but I've always said I'd love to get married. But the opportunity hasn't come along yet. I have been proposed to four times. It happened twice at the beginning of a relationship and twice at the end of a relationship. I just didn't give an answer."

Juliette has a 14-year-old son, Raphael, with deep sea diver Andre Halle, and an eight-year-old daughter, Hana, with French actor Benoit Magimel.
