Christina Aguilera's son's middle name Liron means "my song" or "my joy" in Hebrew.
The pop star - who delivered Max Liron Bratman on Saturday night (12.01.08) - has paid homage to husband Jordan Bratman's Jewish roots by giving her baby boy, who weighed a healthy 6lbs 2oz, the Hebrew moniker.
A source close to the singer said: "Christina wanted to give Max a partly Jewish name. When she came across Liron she couldn't believe her luck because as well as liking the sound of it, it was a direct reference to her own career."
Christina's representative said on Saturday: "Christina Aguilera and Jordan Bratman are proud to announce the birth of their son Max Liron Bratman. He is a beautiful, healthy baby boy. Mother is resting and doing well."
Following the birth, Christina decorated her official website with blue balloons and wrote: "Today is a very joyful and special day for Jordan and I as we welcome our first son into this world."
Christina and Jordan married in Napa Valley, California, in 2005.
