Kelly Osbourne claims her famous parents have only recently told her they are proud of her.

The TV presenter - who was in rehab battling an addiction to painkillers and alcohol three years ago - has turned her life around and was thrilled when she received approval from Black Sabbath rocker Ozzy and 'X Factor' judge Sharon.

She said: "You always look for your parents to say, 'Well done, you. You've really grown up.' It's kind of scary because it means I have a lot of responsibility now but it felt really good.

"It really meant a lot to me. It was emotional. We are a very close family. I think everyone seeks that approval from their mother and father.

"But then it gave me the fear - they have higher expectations of me now and I can't do anything bad."

Kelly - who shot to fame with her parents and brother Jack in hit reality MTV show 'The Osbournes' - also insists the whole family has calmed down and enjoy a more relaxed lifestyle since moving house.

She added to Britain's The Sun newspaper: "My parents have moved into a new home outside Los Angeles. It's in the mountains and quite remote. It's amazing and it's just what they needed.

"Jack and I are so close. When he was buying a place in Los Angeles I said to him, 'I don't think I can live far from you' so he bought a place a mile from mine. And in London he's just in the next street.

"Things used to be a little crazy and I didn't know what would happen, one can only wish. The greatest gift in the world is happiness and that's what we wanted."
