Last I checked, alcoholics don't wait until Friday to drink, and they don't do it in a social manner like she's describing. What she's describing is a cultural behavior inherent in her society, not alcoholism. I have a cousin who went through AA, I know the warning signs. Somebody needs to change the headline of this story.
last I checked drinking a liter!!! of vodka weekly was a major binge red flag..and I guarantee you the people in Iceland don't all wait till Friday to knock the hooch back!
