We love Patsy from "Ab Fab"; Britain's most versatile actress Joanna Lumley has starred in so many memorable roles, but now the stunning leggy blonde is encouraging people in Wales to recycle their Christmas cards and help fund the planting of 24,000 trees.

The Woodland Trust is placing recycling bins for cards in a number of stores across the nation throughout January at popular grocery chains and stores like Tesco, TK Maxx and even Marks & Spencer.
The charity has set an ambitious UK collection target of collecting 100 million cards which would enable the planting of 24,000 trees.
Reporter Karen Price of Western Mail reports that in January 2007, "151 tonnes of cards were collected from Wales alone, which helped the charity break its 90 million card UK target by three million."
Actress Lumley is hoping for a repeat performance from Wales during the coming new year.
She told Price, “Christmas is a great time for celebrations and being with our families, but we do end up creating more waste.
“A simple way to help reduce this and help climate change at the same time is to recycle as much as possible and Christmas cards are one of the easiest items to keep out of our bins.”
The collecting of cards generates income for the charity by garnering recycling credits. This is actual income paid by local authorities for waste that is not disposed of in landfill sites.
Price reports that the "UK is one of the least wooded countries in Europe."
