Casey Aldridge is reportedly not the father of Jamie Lynn Spears' baby.
It has been alleged the 16-year-old actress - who announced she is expecting her first child with long-term boyfriend Casey earlier this month - was having an affair with an older man on the set of her Nickelodeon TV show 'Zoey 101'.
The Spears family are allegedly desperate to keep the man's identity a secret, and have paid Casey to pretend to be the father instead.
A source told America's Star magazine: "Casey is being paid off to be the family's fall guy while the real father remains unidentified.
"The man many suspect is the father, however, would face rape charges and probably prison time if he were to come forward and admit he had sex with Jamie Lynn."
A family insider added: "Some of us have doubts as to the legitimacy of the claim that Casey is the father. Before the news of the pregnancy, how often did you see them together?
"Jamie Lynn has dated Casey on-and-off over the past two years. But it was not steady. Jamie Lynn went through a time of partying, and Casey was just a part of that."
While Jamie Lynn - the sister of troubled pop star Britney Spears - has admitted being "shocked and scared" about becoming a mother at such a young age, she hasn't commented on rumours Nickelodeon will be dropping her from 'Zoey 101.'
PR expert Michael Levine said: "I cant think of any way that Nickelodeon could keep Jamie Lynn's show on the air.
"If they do, advertisers will drop it like crazy. No advertiser wants to be associated with a minor getting pregnant."
At the time of the pregnancy announcement, Nickelodeon released a statement saying: "We respect Jamie Lynn's decision to take responsibility in this sensitive and personal situation.
"We know this is a very difficult time for her and her family, and our primary concern right now is for Jamie Lynn's well being."

I THINK EVERYBODY MAKES MISTAKE SPECIALLY TEENAGERS PEOPLE SHOULD NOT JUDGE HER BECAUSE THERE ARE YOUNGER GIRLS PREGNANT.......... AND I LOVE JAMIE LEE SHE A GOOD ACTRIST
She's as much an idiot as her sister and neither one should be allowed to work in Hollywood ever again! No respectful advertiser would ever buy time during anything either of these girls do and the networks know that. They are a disgrace as role models for todays youth!!!!!
It's not a question of punishing her. The Nick exec that knocked her up is guilty of statutory rape and must be identified and brought to justice.
Just can the show Jamie was in and not show them again. Not even in Re-runs & just make her & her sister just go away. I think that we would be better off not putting them in the news. BECAUSE THEY ARE NOT NEWS!!!
i think some people r jus so full of crap like the people

what most girls her age would do. i would love to see
one of you air headed freaks up there in her shoes to see what
you'd do i anit no big fan of jamie lynn of britney but i know
one thing is dat dis world is full of air headed crap talkin
people like you. the more you shelter kids the worse they will
be. i may be a teenager my self but i know i anit wrong.
you've all done something in ur lives so dont come acting like
some next big saint cuz guess wat??? none of u are.
so y dnt you get a life n stop chattin wat dnt concern you
and focus on ur own problems.
I believe Jamie is a beautiful young girl and has been very blessed thus far in her life. She has already shown she can take responsibility for her actions, whether good or bad. As a young teenager myself who thoroughly enjoys watching her on television, I have a strong opinion to the matter. Whether or not this is the end of the line for her Hollywood career depends on how she responds to the situation. Her first response, to keep the baby, was the right one. If Jamie Lynn Spears admits that the mistake was premarital sex and not the baby and takes care of the child in a way that a reasonable mother would, she should be fine. If she stays away from partying, drugs, alcohol, and many things her sister has fallen into, the child and herself have the opportunity to live a life that can set an example to young women everywhere; she can continue to be a role model if she doesn't give up. If she perseveres and trusts God to help her follow a narrow path that is shortly traveled, she isn't through. She just has to grow up and start a new chapter in her life earlier than planned.
Just so my comment isn't taken wrongly, I believe Jamie's sister is also a beautiful and talented woman. However, she has to reevaluate her life and get back on that narrow path. :-)

She needs to be dropped by the studio - pronto. The situation has caused enough chaos for everyone involved from the studio to the viewers. She can't be a decent role model no matter what she does from now on. Just the fact that the supposedly squeeky clean girl has been living with her boyfriend for awhile at 15/16 was enough to boot her in the first place.
Our younger kids don't have enough good role models as it is without cramming this down their throats! When they are older, they know to not pay any attention to the disgraced celebrities' actions and take them for what they are worth.
