'High School Musical' star Zac Efron has asked for a new skateboard for Christmas.

The 20-year-old actor, who plays basketball star Troy Bolton in the massively popular film series, has a habit of breaking skateboards and wants a hardwearing one from Santa.
He said: "I'm constantly breaking things, and I go through skateboards pretty fast. So a new Sector 9 Longboard, which costs about $280, would be nice."
Zac might be lucky and receive the expensive gift from his girlfriend, fellow 'High School Musical' actress Vanessa Hudgens, after he splashed out on a brand new black Audi S4 Cabriolet for her 19th birthday.
Vanessa said she is concentrating on the family aspect of Christmas this year, and is determined to include Zac in her celebrations.
She said: "I love putting up the Christmas tree together as a family. I love doing themes. This year is going to be gold and crystal."
