The best thing to do is get rid of these stupid pageants altogether!
The president of the Miss France beauty pageant, Genevieve de Fontenay said: If she (Miss France 2008 Valerie Begue) had some courage and a bit of dignity she would say 'I'm resigning because I'm not worthy to carry on as Miss France'. Well, I say to you, Ms. de Fontenay: If YOU had some courage and some dignity, you yourself should resign for making such a big deal out of nothing and bringing world press down on a lovely woman as Ms. Begue. You have no dignity. Go and find another job because you have no business running the Miss France pageant.
NOBODY cares!!!!!
One of the crimes that the dolled-up ringmaster of the Miss France circus, Genevieve de Fontenay, has accused Valerie Begue of committing is words to the effect of 'lasciviously licking a yoghurt tub'.
Dear Genevieve, if you're obsessed by the thought of lascivious behaviour with food then you should witness some (more?) of Nigella Lawson's finger-licking bodice-ripping assignations in front of a TV camera.
'She has to step down immediately,' you say, 'or we will force her to leave.'
Funny---that's what a large slice of the world is musing about _you_. Valerie has you licked in the global popularity stakes.
Why get so worked-up ?
Tell me why she is not beautiful and worthy to be Miss France.??
Madness , complete madness.
Tell me all of France
' Do you believe in Love at first sight'?
I have been with my beautiful wife for 32yrs.
Shame on you,.. for critcising Miss France.
France.... you still have THE most gorgeous ladies living on this Planet.
I agree with Nigel-get rid of these ridiculous pageants. Now, about the pictures, what's wrong with them? She's a model, she was doing her job, and they're not pornographic. What rules did she break? Some stupid lemming christians are overreacting? Boo Hoo. Get over it. Read the rulebook, she didn't commit any crimes worthy of losing her crown. Stupid people p*ss me off sometimes.
The latest news is that Valerie Begue is being permitted to keep her status as winner of the Miss France beauty circus but isn't being permitted to use it to continue to any international beauty circus.
Quel dommage! As one who is currently the world's most famous beauty-contest winner she can now look forward to some attractive commercial offers. For instance who's to say she won't be the next bonbon for Bond, James Bond? And perhaps some sort of libation will be named after her and she'll be witnessed in advertisements saying 'Don't be vague---ask for Begue'.
I wonder why the 'Add your comment' parts of monstersandcritics.com have been engineered so that we punters suffer having our _double_ quotemarks changed to the less readable and sometimes ambiguous _single_ quotemarks.
Just about all of the world's mainstream purveyors of written words use double quotemarks unless the task is to nest one quote inside another.
