Amy Winehouse in trouble, arrested

Singer Amy Winehouse has been arrested on suspicion of attempting to interfere with her husband's court case.

Her publicist says Winehouse voluntarily went to a police station and was arrested, Winehouse was released without being charged.

Police would not identify Winehouse by name but confirm a 24-year-old was arrested during an appointment at a police station. They say she was released on bail and ordered to return to a police station in March.

The New York Daily News reports that authorities started looking into Winehouse’s affairs last week, when they paid a visit to her high-end London accountant, Smallfield Cody.

UPI reports that Amy Winehouse’s outspoken father Mitch has hit back at accusations from Blake Fielder-Civil’s mom Georgette, that his daughter ditched her son while he’s been imprisoned.

Winehouse has fronted $600,000 for her husband’s legal bills and daddy Mitch was quick to remind Blake’s mom.

Winehouse commented, “Amy is going to pay for his legal team and that will be a lot of money. I don’t see how anyone can say she’s not doing anything for him. His mother hasn’t been forthcoming with an offer to put her hand in her pocket, so maybe she should keep her opinions to herself.”

Pere Winehouse also had a few words to say about Amy’s “scumbag” friend Pete Doherty.

The Babyshambles lead singer has been comforting Amy in her time of need and Daddy Winehouse doesn’t like it one bit! “I do worry about her being around people like him. He’s a scumbag. I flipped when I saw him sitting with Amy backstage at her Brixton gig. That night I went crazy. My wife thought I was going to have a heart attack. I was apoplectic,” said Mitch Winehouse.

Pete Doherty does seem to be on the road to recovery, having banned alcohol from his band’s tour bus. But it doesn’t look like Amy Winehouse has followed her friend’s example, as the singer has been spotted wondering the streets of London in just a bra and jeans in the early morning hours.

There’s also that mysterious white residue that’s appeared under her nostrils from time to time.
