Actress Jennifer Jason Leigh would prefer reporters to stop writing about her age - because it's irrelevant.
The 45-year-old actress notes the old chestnuts of Hollywood over 40 are old, and she wants the ageism to stop.
She explains to WENN, "I don't think your career is over when you turn 40, but it doesn't help when people's ages are constantly written about. I think the more you demystify someone, the harder it is to believe they are someone else."
Leigh celebrated the second anniversary of her marriage to Noah Baumbach in September, right before Baumbach screened his new film at the Toronto International Film Festival.
The film, "Margot at the Wedding," marks the first time they've worked together. Leigh and Nicole Kidman co-star in the movie, which Baumbach wrote and directed and which also stars Jack Black.
