Gary Barlow's number one hair

Gary Barlow has the best haircut in pop music.

The Take That singer claimed the prize for his luscious locks in a poll conducted by hair care giant Brylcreem to "find out which male celebrities score best and worst in the hairstyle stakes".

Men's Hairdresser of the Year Louis Byrne said: "Gary Barlow has had a fantastic year and to be winner is the crowning glory. He sports a classic groomed look - impressive yet effortless."

Gary took a whopping 65 per cent of the vote, while British singer James Morrison came second. Music producer Mark Ronson finished third, Razorlight rocker Jonny Borrell fourth and Kate Moss' boyfriend The Kills guitarist Jamie Hince rounded off the top five.

Gary's former bandmate Robbie Williams got 4.2 per cent of the vote, gaining him fourth position on the Worst Music Personality Hairstyles of 2007 list, which was topped by Babyshambles frontman Pete Doherty.

The survey - carried out to celebrate the 6th annual Brylcreem National Men's Hair Week - also included sections on sport, TV and film.

David Beckham was named the sportsman with the best hair and Jude Law the actor with the most lavish locks.
