Uma Thurman is a nomad.
The 'Kill Bill' star finds it difficult to settle in one place and is constantly thinking about her next move, although she has calmed down since becoming a mother.
The actress - who has two children, Maya, nine, and five-year-old Roan, with ex-husband Ethan Hawke - said: "Before I had kids, I was even worse. I would constantly move. I've made huge strides for the sake of my dear children so they're not subject to adolescent homelessness from me."
Uma now spends most of her time in New York with her children, but visits London twice a month to see financier boyfriend Arpad Busson.
However, she admits jetting between the two cities has its downsides.
She added to Harper's Bazaar magazine: "My house is always a disaster."
Uma, 37, also revealed she has an amicable relationship with her ex-husband and wishes him well.
She said: "Look, my aim is true. I wish everybody no ill. I don't really participate in any mudslinging or such. I like people to see their lives blossom and not go poorly for them."
Uma and Ethan split in 2003, amid claims he cheated on her with Canadian model Jen Perzow.
