Charlize Theron burgled

Charlize Theron's home was burgled last week.

The Oscar-winning actress has reported the incident to the police and is still making a list of what was taken from the house she shares with Irish actor Stuart Townsend in the Hollywood Hills.

Los Angeles police officer Ana Aguirre said: "There was a break-in reported at her home sometime over the weekend between Thursday December 6 and Saturday December 8.

"There were no suspects seen by any witnesses. And the property that was taken is being evaluated by the homeowner."

The 32-year-old South African-born star has been dating Townsend since they met on the set of 'Trapped' in 2002.

Though the couple are not officially married, they consider themselves to be husband and wife.

Townsend, 34, said in September: "I'm married. I didn't do a church wedding or anything, but we're married - we're husband and wife!

"We love each other and we want to spend our lives together. We didn't have a ceremony. I don't need a certificate or the state or the church to say otherwise. So no, there's no big official story on a wedding, but we are married. I consider her my wife and she considers me her husband."
