The Girls Aloud singer - who has rekindled her romance with 'Desperate Housewives' actor Jesse Metcalfe despite reports he was unfaithful earlier this year - believes it is difficult for men not to stray and insists it doesn't have to mean the end of a relationship.
Nadine said: "I've been betrayed in the past and I had to decide whether the positives outweighed the negatives.
"Cheating is the easiest thing in the world, it's not always the worst thing to happen to a couple."
The 22-year-old singer also revealed she refuses to say "I love you" before her man has professed his feelings first.
She added to Bliss magazine: "I'm an old fashioned type of girl and think the man should come to you. Always let him say 'I love you' first.
"Someone told me they loved me when it hadn't even crossed my mind. I was surprised, but he was great. He said, 'I'm not going to make you say anything you don't want to. Just tell me when you're ready.' "
When Nadine briefly split from Jesse she kept busy to mend her broken heart.
She said: "Nothing and everything will cure heartbreak. Keep yourself busy. Surround yourself with friends and family and just move on quickly."
