Ricky Gervais snubbed the chance to work with Woody Allen because he doesn't think the director's films are funny anymore.
The British comic actor-and-writer used to be a huge fan of the Oscar-winning filmmaker, but hasn't enjoyed any of his recent films, which include 'Melinda and Melinda', and 'Match Point'.
Gervais said: "I was offered a part in a Woody Allen film, I won't tell you which one, but when I saw the rest of the cast, other British people who have appeared on TV, I just pulled out of it. I thought, 'That's no fun.'
"This isn't the Woody Allen I know. He thinks these people are all good because he likes the accent. Woody Allen isn't Woody Allen anymore."
'The Office' star has also admitted that since he became famous and his shows achieved critical acclaim his confidence has soared.
He explained: "If I am perfectly honest, I feel more confident. I do feel I have brought something into the world that had been missing before."
