Russell Brand has apologised for stealing people's mail when he was a postman.
The controversial comedian, who has just released his autobiography 'My Booky Wook', worked as a postman when he was a drug addict and admits he often stole packages.
Russell said: "I nicked some letters and I'd like to apologise. I stole CDs and birthday cards too. I was on drugs - you can't blame me!"
The bouffant-haired TV presenter revealed he only took the job because he thought it would satisfy his sex addiction.
He said: "I was definitely anticipating a lot more sex. But no-one opened that door and went, 'Do you want to come in?' "
Russell also spoke about his addiction, and why people find it amusing - even though it is a recognised medical condition.
He said: "When I heard that Michael Douglas was a sex addict, I thought, 'Come on Michael, that's just something you're telling your missus because you're having it off with the chambermaid!'
"But actually there is sex addiction because any behaviour that is detrimental to your life is addictive. That's the definition of addiction."
