Hong Kong - A visit to Hong Kong by Boy George is in doubt after the 1980s pop star was accused of chaining a male escort up in his London flat, a news report said Thursday.
His London court date falls just two days before he is due to appear as a special guest at the fifth anniversary party of Hong Kong's swanky iDragon club and his appearance is now in doubt, the South China Morning Post reported.
The former Culture Club frontman has been charged with false imprisonment and ordered to appear before a magistrates court November 22 in London.
Boy George, whose real name is George O'Dowd, is accused with another man of chaining up a 28-year-old Norwegian male escort in his Shoreditch flat after inviting him to pose for photographs.
The male escort, who claims Boy George produced whips and sex toys, said he escaped from the flat after wrenching a hook out of the wall.
