Kate Beckinsale was hospitalised on Sunday (11.11.07) after complaining of numbness in her left arm and leg.

The stunning actress was taken to the hospital after she became increasingly concerned, but doctors put it down to exhaustion.

A hospital source told US TV show 'Access Hollywood': "She was really concerned about the numbness, so decided to go and have it checked out. She wasn't in any pain, but doctors treated her and said it was down to exhaustion and the fact she hadn't been compliant with her regular medication."

Kate's representative denied the reports, and said the actress went to the hospital to accompany her assistant who had sprained her ankle, but had her own check-up while she was there.

Kate's actor father Richard Beckinsale tragically died of a massive heart attack when he was just 31.

The 34-year-old actress has previously admitted she lived in fear of suffering the same fate as her dad.

She said: "Making it past the age that my father died made it easier to look forward to things and not have anything nagging you at the back of your mind."
