Lily Allen's dad okays Chemical Ed

Lily Allen's dad has given his blessing for her to date Chemical Brothers star Ed Simons.
The singer's father, comic actor Keith Allen, says Ed is a "very nice young man" and he is happy for Lily.
Keith said: "I don't worry about Lily, she can more than hold her own. I think Ed Chemical Brother is a very nice young man. I'm just waiting for the headline, 'My Chemical Romance'!
"Like any father, you want her to be with someone who's not a total idiot but I'm also aware of my own failings, and no-one's going to take a preachy sermon from me now, are they?"
Keith also insists he isn't worried that Lily often speaks about being depressed.
He added to Q magazine: "It's just that she writes the truth. There's nothing I've read that makes me think, 'F**k, I'd better get on a plane and go and sort her out.' Well, there was one dodgy moment in America but Lily's mother Alison flew out.
"Lily's weakness is about self-esteem, and you just have to be kind and supportive."
