Julia Roberts could teach Britney how to live her life

Pretty mama Julia Roberts has three children all under the age of 2, but she tells Vanity Fair says she’s willing to take on one more - train wreck Britney Spears.

“I see and hear what’s happening to Britney Spears and it’s all I can do not to move her into my guesthouse and say, ‘OK, this is how it’s going to be.’ And just take care of her,” she said.

Roberts, 40, says she finds the hullabaloo around Spears and others “grotesque” and compares being young and famous to being in “a circus sideshow.”

“I don’t know why anybody would even want to go into show business these days, with all the different magazines and shows,” she said. “It just wouldn’t be worth it. And it’s too fast.”

“You could build a career over years and many movies,” she said. “Now it’s like you do one good movie and they throw a ton of attention at you.”

That doesn’t allow young talent to “know who you are, and what you are, and how you want to do it, and why you want to do it,” Roberts said.

Roberts noted that if her own children needed advice getting in the business and surviving the process, “I would call Natalie Portman’s mother,” she says of her “Closer” costar, a Harvard graduate. “Natalie is such a good actress, but she seems like such a sensible person.”
