Jamelia is such a good cook her fiancée calls her Jamelia Smith.
The 'Thank You' singer, who recently accepted soccer star Darren Byfield's marriage proposal, is such a whiz in the kitchen that Darren has given her a nickname in tribute to British cook Delia Smith.
Jamelia said: "I am quite good at cooking. I am certainly not a domestic goddess like Nigella Lawson, but my fiancé Darren has started calling me Jamelia Smith! I love inviting people round for dinner. I make a mean macaroni cheese."
Earlier this month, Jamelia said she was thrilled to be engaged to Darren.
She gushed: "I'm completely over the moon. Darren proposing was a real surprise but I'm totally delighted. I can't stop smiling."
Meanwhile, the 26-year-old star has claimed she would rather spend time with her close friends than attend glitzy celebrity parties.
Jamelia said: "My ideal night out is going to have something to eat in Birmingham with a big group of friends, then have a drink afterwards.
"Having a good time and a laugh is the most important thing to me.
"My philosophy is seize the day."
