Madonna reportedly treated daughter Lourdes and her friends to a £14,000 spa break for her 11th birthday.
The 'Hung Up' singer flew her eldest child and her closest friends first class from London to Los Angeles for a weekend of pampering at Santa Monica's Shutters on the Beach Hotel.
A source said: "Madonna called ahead early in the week to make reservations for the spa. She wanted to make sure Lourdes got the VIP treatment. She organised manicures and pedicures with a special orange and camomile soak treatment.
"She also ordered foot massages and sea salt scrubs, facials done with cucumber, honey and milk and luxurious full-body massages with reflexology.
"The little girls loved being treated like princesses for the day and returned to their suite a few hours later, where they were served a high tea of cucumber sandwiches and sweet treats. There was also a wonderful birthday cake."
Hotel staff admitted they were surprised by how pleasant the 'Holiday' singer was during her stay.

I highly think this is blown up just a tad. Give us some real news! When and details of her new album please!!! No one honestly cares about spa visits!
There are Madonna fanatics who scour the net for everything and anything about the pop queen. Certainly, Lourdes is one person who is AUTHORIZED and very much worthy to lurk under her spotlight. Long after Madonna is gone, Lourdes might be singing and remake her mum's hits for the next generation. The kid is an exact clone and heard she loves dancing as well.
Well, I am so glad she's teaching her kids her phony spirituality about materialism being bad. While she cries about starving kids in Africa, she spends about 30,000 on a pedicure for her kid. What kind of pedicure was it anyway! I wish these loud mouth celebs would spend some of this cash on those starving people they always howl about and less on their overpriced clothes and pedicures and countless mansions. They have the right to spend whatever they want, but don't come crying to us poor folks to shell out money for charities when they obviously have a lot more than I do.

I hope people aren't going to criticize her for this. Just put it into perspective - she has millions, so why not be able to do these things.
People who have thousands are able to do more than someone with hundreds and on and on it goes! No one should be judged by how they spend the money they earn!!
